3. “You” in Spanish can be informal:
(1) tú (singular) Did you
(2) vosotros (plural) know?
 used with friends, family and
children.
“You” in Spanish can also be formal:
(1) usted (singular)
(2) ustedes (plural)
 used with a new acquaintance or to show respect.
tú vosotros usted ustedes
Vosotros is primarily used in Spain; Ustedes is used instead.
