Parts of a Friendly Letter

First, we have the heading. The heading is the first thing you see in the letter.
Next is the greeting.
Third is the body of the letter.
Then we have the closing.
The fifth part of a friendly letter is the signature.
And finally, there is the postscript.

 The heading of a letter should contain the return
address, which includes the street address on
one line, followed by the city, state and zip code
on the next line. The third line is the date.
4. Greeting
 Dear Michael, <--- Greeting
 The greeting means “hello”. Usually, all of the
words, which are a part of the greeting, are
capitalized. A comma follows the greeting.
5. Body
 Let me tell you some of the reasons I
hope you will never smoke.……
Body--->
 The body of the letter contains the main text or
message. Each paragraph should be indented.
6. Closing
 Closing ---> Sincerely,
 The closing means “good-bye”. The first word of
the closing begins with a capital letter. A comma
follows the closing
7. Signature
 Signature ---> Jean Rogers
The signature tells who wrote the letter.
