The Y has been building strong kids, strong families and strong communities in Richmond since 1854. With 17 convenient locations, the Y provides the resources that your neighborhood needs in a local community center with healthy and fun programs that span the generations. The Richmond YMCA began as a fellowship society and Bible study group for young evangelical males. Today, it is a family-oriented institution welcoming all to develop their spiritual, mental and physical gifts. The mission of the YMCA is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
