event_available TUTORING
Trained volunteers are matched in a 1:1 relationship with a student. (1st -8th grade). Tutoring takes place at host sites (churches, schools or other community agencies) in communities of about 15 student/tutor pairs. Each site has a Coordinator, School Liaison and a Club Leader who help facilitate the program. Tutoring is for one hour and focuses on reading, math and homework help.
CLUB TIME
This 30 minute program is the faith component of Whiz Kids that includes music, a short activity and a message about God's great love for us. Parents must elect to have their child participate in Club Time by signing a separate permission slip.
STUDENT ENRICHMENT
The Slam Dunk is a night at the Pepsi Center with free tickets to the Nuggets game, hot dogs and sodas for the kids. The Whiz Kids Rodeo is our year-end celebration at the National Western Arena. Kids and tutors enjoy horses, a petting zoo, inflatables, games, face painting and much, much more!
event_available SUMMER PROGRAM
Trained volunteers are matched in a 1:1 relationship with a student. (1st -8th grade). Tutoring takes place online using the Zoom platform, where students and tutors meet as a site on a call, but go into separate break out rooms for tutoring. Tutoring is for 50 minutes to 1 hour and focuses on reading, math and learning games.

Summer Tutoring
When:
Once a week for 5 weeks over the summer.
Week of June 21st through the week of July 19th
Tuesdays or Wednesdays (tutoring days)
10:00-11:15 a.m. or 1:00-2:15 p.m.
You would only be asked to tutor on one of these days at one of these times based on your availability (unless you would wish to tutor more)
