The mission of The Phoenix School is to inspire students to be lifelong learners, positive role models, and productive citizens of a diverse world.

The Phoenix School believes :

1. The school provides an effective educational program based in part on input from all stake holders who take an active role in improving the quality of the overall school program.

2. The school provides a safe, nurturing, and diverse environment where students are treated as individuals and are given input into all phases of school planning.

3. All students are unique and all students can learn.

4. Instructional strategies encourage higher order thinking skills and foster the unique learning styles of all students.

5. Instructional strategies create opportunities for real life learning and performance-based assessments.

6. The curriculum creates intrinsically motivated, lifelong learners.

7. Character education and social development are integral parts of the school experience and the principles of character and positive social dynamics are incorporated into all aspects of school life.

event_available Transition Academy Transition Academy began in the fall of 2010 on the campus of the Phoenix School. It is a program for 18-22 year old students who have graduated with a Special Education diploma.

event_available Federally Funded Programs Edgenuity provides a digital curriculum for K-12 students that can be used as primary or supplemental instruction. Edgenuity uses a diagnostic to offer prescriptive instruction through a personalized learning path that can be both monitored and manually altered by the teacher. The Phoenix School utilizes only the high school curriculum.
