About

Rhode Island Tutorial & Educational Services (RITES) is a consortium of educators dedicated to improving the academic outcome for students of all ages. We do this through a diverse range of services for students with a specialized focus on literacy.

HOW WE IMPROVE OUTCOMES

RITES improves academic outcomes through 1-to-1, personalized multi-sensory tutoring and small-group classes taught by highly skilled master teachers. RITES provides the tools and strategies for success, whether a student struggles with a language-based disorder, just needs to master the content of a particular subject, or is looking for enrichment and high-achieving goals, such as SAT/ACT test prep. The RITES approach ensures tailored instruction, tracked progress, close parent communication, and ongoing resources for families throughout Rhode Island, southeastern Massachusetts, and beyond.

event_available Maths Math Tutoring: Making Math Accessible RITES math tutoring can help transform math from being “problematic” into a source of pride and lifelong math successes. Math issues can range from not having a strong number sense, to not understanding what is being asked, to struggling with the individual aspects of a specific math course. Wherever your student is having trouble, your RITES math specialist provides concrete tools and strategies to conquer math fears and become a stronger math student. Multisensory Teaching RITES math teachers incorporate a variety of scientifically researched and proven multisensory teaching approaches into their lessons to make sure your child is engaging his or her whole brain for active and effective learning to improve math skills. Give your student a strong foundation in mathematical concepts with RITES age- and grade-specific content to give your student the confidence to take on math throughout his or her life. Common Core Standards RITES math tutoring programs adhere to Common Core standards. Our math tutoring provides hands-on exploration of Common Core math concepts. The Common Core requires a greater focus on specific math topics. Rather than racing to cover many topics, the standards ask math teachers to significantly narrow and deepen knowledge of specific concepts. This means focusing on specific topics for each grade. Whether in elementary, middle school or at the high school and college level, our math tutoring is the key to better grades in math.

Our writing specialists incorporate a variety of scientifically researched and proven multisensory teaching approaches into their lessons to make sure your child is engaging his or her whole brain for active and effective learning to improve writing skills. Through these approaches, RITES’ programs provide students with the skills and tools to organize and communicate their thoughts clearly and accurately in writing.
