The Color of the Rift

In 1824 Mobile, Alabama, two inseparable friends—James Whitemore and Benjamin Jackson—are pulled into a magical portal, the Rift. In this alternate world, power is reversed: Black people hold dominion, and white people face oppression. James experiences the weight of bondage, and Benjamin confronts the burden of cruelty.

As they navigate this paradox, they uncover the Rift’s origins in 1347 Marseille, where the mysterious priests known as the Torebulians triggered chaos through temporal experiments. The fate of the galaxy rests on their shoulders—alongside Rosalinda’s wisdom, Marcella’s courage, and the dark force Enlil
