Nari-o-Sishu Kalyan Kendra

Nari-O Sishu-Kalyan Kendra was established under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act in the year 1979. Nari-O Sishu-Kalyan Kendra started its journey with a group of young enthusiastic women from Howrah who organized poor and marginalized women of the district to protect their interest towards sustainable livelihood during the devastating flood in year 1978. In 1985 NOSKK obtained the Foreign Contribution Registration from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of West Bengal.

This long endeavour towards fulfilling the mission of NOSKK has been possible only with cooperation and contribution of many National and International Resource Sharing agencies, the State and National level Government as well as Non-Government institutions along with innumerable individual resource persons.

Nari-o-Sishu Kalyan Kendra is a women development organisation. We work together for the dignity and rights of women to create save and secure lives.
