MORE THAN A TEACHER began when one UT math major decided to teach small groups of high school kids how to attack the SAT. Since then, our company has grown into Austin’s largest and most popular SAT/ACT preparation academy. Now serving more than 1500 Austin area students every year in more than a dozen locations, MORE THAN A TEACHER is still run by two career high school teachers, Paul Schultz and Rob Williams, who have crafted SAT and ACT classroom courses that are both effective and engaging. Experienced and enthusiastic about what we do, MORE THAN A TEACHER takes great pride in our achievement in successfully equipping students to achieve their goals in Austin for over 20 years.

eventAcademic Tutoring AP Classes and Higher-level Math and Science Classes: $89/hr

eventACT Prep We offer a variety of ACT course schedules throughout the year, leading up to each official test date. For only $599, our comprehensive, 14-hour course covers each section of the test. Review test-specific content and learn proven strategies to boost your score. Students develop the skills needed to identify each type of question encountered on the official test and how to approach each with confidence. Timed practice is assigned regularly to track student progress throughout the course.

eventSAT Prep We offer a variety of SAT course schedules throughout the year, leading up to each official test date. For only $649, our comprehensive, 16-hour course covers each section of the test. Review test-specific content and learn proven strategies to boost your score. Students develop the skills needed to identify each type of question encountered on the official test and how to approach each with confidence. Timed practice is assigned regularly to track student progress throughout the course.

eventPSAT Prep Practice on actual PSATs is a vital part of doing well on the test. For this reason, we schedule PSAT and SAT practice tests throughout the course. Though students are required to complete at least one practice test as part of our money back guarantee, they are encouraged to take additional tests as they acquire new skills. Practice tests are always FREE for students enrolled in a course (normally $15)!

eventGRE Prep GRE courses consist of six 2.5-hour classroom sessions. While the verbal and analytical writing sections are covered, math is emphasized, with one class dedicated to each of the four GRE math content areas: Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, and Data Analysis. For those who would benefit from additional instruction, free group tutorials are also available .
