Since 1992, when I was in 8th grade, I’ve known that I wanted to make a difference as a math teacher. Throughout high school I utilized my talents and assisted other students in math, helping them achieve what they thought they could not. This continued throughout college when I was the first freshman to tutor math at the academic annex and continued through to my graduation. I even managed to pick up side-jobs, tutoring students who learned about my skills via word of mouth.
It was in 2013 that I took my tutoring expertise to a professional level. To supplement my earnings from my full-time position as a high school math teacher, I began tutoring as an independent contractor for another company, tutoring students all over the country, from Maine to California, even down to Texas. It didn’t end there. It was when I found students overseas, as far reaching as Abu Dhabi, that I realized it was time for me to create my own business. On August 4th, 2023, Mei Math, LLC. was born. My goal is to take away the fear and disdain for math from those who reach out for assistance. I want students to realize that math doesn’t have to be daunting or scary. It’s about approaching it in a way that makes sense to them.
Everyone deserves to have the opportunity to feel success in math. I will give my all to help my students achieve their goals and aspirations. Together, we can make a difference.
