Lyon Learning Center’s founder, Clarise Lyon, was a second grade teacher in the public school system who refused to accept that up to 20 percent of the student population were not achieving to their maximum potential. Refusing to accept that these children would simply be “left behind” by the educational system, she set out to discover why they were struggling to learn in the traditional system. Clarise’s journey of investigation revealed to her the underlying cognitive skills everyone needs to support academic learning and a lifetime of success.
