LTR Tutoring Associates

About

Born out of a passion to assist those who struggle with literacy, LTR Tutoring Associates was founded in 2004. Today, in addition to providing instruction to struggling readers, we have broadened our mission to include literacy and dyslexia awareness through community service.

We are experienced, trained, and certified instructors and trainers in a number of research-based multisensory literacy programs, including the Wilson Reading System®, Just Words®, Fundations®, LANGUAGE! and Project Read strands. These programs fulfill the recommendations published by the National Reading Panel and the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development’s (NICHD) research and findings.

WRS is an intensive Tier 3 program for students in grades 2-12 and adults with word-level deficits who are not making sufficient progress through their current intervention; have been unable to learn with other teaching strategies and require multisensory language instruction; or who require more intensive structured literacy instruction due to a language-based learning disability, such as dyslexia.
eventProject Read Grades: K-12, ESL, Special Education, Title One, Adults Project Read is a complete research-based language arts program which includes instructional materials for phonics, reading comprehension, and writing. This time-tested curriculum was developed in 1973 by Dr. Mary Lee Enfield and Victoria Greene. The curriculum honors diverse learning profiles and provides lessons built on direct concept teaching, targeted multisensory strategies, and higher-level thinking skills. Project Read curriculum has been proven by performance and regarded by reputation for over 45 years. This curriculum is implemented with K-12 classrooms, ESL students, Special Education, Title One programs, and adolescents or adults with reading and writing problems.

eventJust Words® Grades: 4-12 & Adults Just Words is a highly explicit, multisensory decoding and spelling program for students in grades 4–12 and adults who have mild to moderate gaps in their decoding and spelling proficiency but do not require intensive intervention. The program is designed for students with below-average decoding and spelling scores and should be combined with other literature-rich programs.
eventLANGUAGE Grades: 4-12 The Comprehensive Literacy Curriculum® provides intensive intervention. It integrates reading, writing, spelling, vocabulary, grammar, foundational skills, and spoken English, rapidly advancing students who score below the 40th percentile on standardized tests.
