About

The centre is now located above The Co-Operative Supermarket, off Easterly Road and was established by myself, Joanna Jacobs, in 2012. I’ve been a qualified teacher for 19 years, originally training in London and having the pleasure of teaching children in Norfolk, Humberside and Leeds as either Second or Head of Department in English. I’ve also taught English and Maths at primary schools in Leeds, but wanted to do something different. I wanted to teach in a new environment but resource and run an academic centre that could focus on excellence of learning insteading of managing behaviour and as such Leeds Tuition Centre was born.

Courses/Programs offered

event_available English If it’s English tuition that you’re looking for, we carry out initial in-depth educational assessments to establish the particular areas your child may be having trouble with. The 1 hour – 80 minute consultation is relaxed, with no silences or test environments. Your child is encouraged to relax and complete simple written and verbal comprehensions, as well as English related questions.
event_available Maths GCSE Maths Tutors, Secondary, Primary and more
event_available Science If it’s Science tuition that you require, we will initially have an in-depth conversation to establish the particular areas your child may be having difficulties with.
event_available SATs We offer SATs tuition for Key Stage 2 pupils, giving them the skills and confidence they need to excel in their exams. Our tutors all have qualified teacher status and are highly experienced, educating and encouraging children in a classroom based setting with excellent resources and no distractions.
