Kendra Shafer

Hi! I am a certified Reading and Language arts teacher, with training in Orton-Gillingham and UFLI methodology. I love to help students of all levels with reading, spelling, writing and comprehension. I have experience working with students who have dyslexia, ADHD and other issues. I taught middle school language arts and reading in the classroom before I began in-person tutoring. I am also a professional writer. I have a bachelor’s degree in journalism and worked for a decade in that field. I can help students with essays and any kind of writing. I am a direct service provider for Florida’s Step Up for Students scholarships. My preferred sessions are for one hour, twice a week, but I am happy to work with you if you need a different arrangement.
