International Geography Bee

The International Geography Bee is a worldwide geography quiz competition for primary and secondary school students. Students first compete in Qualifying Exams for their Divisional Championships, which are held for 1) Asia 2) Australia and New Zealand 3) Canada 4) Europe 5) USA. Students who finish in the top half in their age group then earn the right to compete in a buzzer-based quiz competition at the Divisional Championships, and students who finish in the top half at that earn the right to compete at the World Championships, held every two years, in conjunction with the International History Olympiad. The first IGB World Championships will be held in Berlin in July 2016.
