More than 1.4 million people from 130 countries take the IELTS each year. Today, IELTS is recognised by 6,000 organisations globally, including over 2,000 U.S. universities, colleges, and professional associations.

Mr Anthony Pollock, Chief Executive Officer of IDP Education since May 2005, has over 20 years experience in international education. In 2006, Mr. Pollock led IDP through the equity-raising process which resulted in SEEK Limited becoming a 50 per cent shareholder in IDP. Mr Pollock is a firm believer in the many positive benefits of international education, both on a personal level for students and for societies as a whole. IDP Education is now jointly owned by 38 Australian universities and SEEK Limited, Australia's leading online employment and training company.
