I graduated with a Bachelor's in Science from CSU, Fresno with an emphasis on Community Health / Biology and later received a M.S. in Nutrition. I have laboratory experience as a former employee of Valley Children’s Hospital in Central California, and am currently teaching at Justin Garza High School in Fresno. CA. This is my 23rd year teaching coursework like Accelerated Biology, AP Biology, Biotechnology and Zoology. Outside of the classroom I mentor early career science teachers from around the state of California through the Carlston Family Foundations' Teacher Leadership Academy. In my free time I enjoy staying active with hiking, traveling and gardening (just about anything outdoors).
