Hola, me llamo Alexandra Salguero y soy una profesora de inglés como segundo idioma (ESL). Soy Estadounidense y Costarricense, y actualmente vivo en Costa Rica. Como soy una persona bilingüe y multicultural, he tenido la oportunidad de ayudar a mis estudiantes a alcanzar sus objetivos de aprender un idioma extranjero. Me encanta viajar, practicar yoga y el senderismo. Visité España hace unos años y me enamoré de la comida española! Tengo una licenciatura en la enseñanza de inglés como idioma extranjero (TEFL) y además, tengo un certificado de 120 horas de TESOL. Llevo tres años y medio impartiendo clases de ESL tanto online como presencial a una amplia variedad de alumnos de entre seis y cincuenta años de edad.
Estoy convencida de que cada alumno tiene su estilo de aprendizaje específico, y, por lo tanto, planifico mis clases con las necesidades e intereses de los alumnos en mente. Empleo un enfoque natural y humanístico, centrando en una comunicación significativa y comprensiva que te dará la confianza y habilidad de interactuar en conversaciones en inglés. Hello, my name is Alexandra Salguero, and I am an ESL educator. I am both Americano and Costa Rican, currently based in Costa Rica. Being a bilingual and multicultural person has given me the opportunity to help students achieve their goals when it comes to learning a foreign language. I love traveling, yoga and hiking. I have visited Spain in the recent years and fell in love with the Spanish cuisine! I have a bachelor’s degree in English Teaching as a Foreign Language, and I also hold a 120 Hour TESOL certificate. I have taught ESL classes online and offline for two and a half years to a wide range of students from six to fifty years old.
I strongly believe that every student has specific learning styles. Therefore, I plan my lessons to meet the students’ needs and interests by implementing a natural and humanistic approach, focused on comprehension and meaningful communication that will enable you to interact in English conversations feeling confident and empowered.
